Many say it takes a village to raise a child; the reality of having a child on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing issues makes this ring even truer for my family and me. Cardinal Kids has become an integral part of our “village!” They are warm, kind, nurturing yet firm, extremely knowledgeable and fun. My son Kyle works with the staff once a week on both gross and fine motor skills. He is now more confident on the playground with peers. He actually looks forward to writing his letters in preparation for kindergarten. Kyle lights up when he sees them and he has “grown up” tremendously in terms of appropriate eye contact and conversational language. They share a special bond. Even more special, is that the staff knows me, my husband and Kyle’s brother well now, and takes the time to be a support when we may need it most with something going on at home that is affecting Kyle’s behavior and progress. Thank you to Cardinal Kids Therapy for making a difference in Kyle’s life and for being part of our important village!
