My twin boys take OT at Cardinal kids. The staff is great and they offer services to include Tomatis, MNRI, and Interactive Metronome. These services are not easily found elsewhere. They also accept out of network insurance providers and assist with submitting the bill for you! This saves families a lot of headaches having to submit there own bills. Thanks so much for all you do!

My son loves Cardinals Kids Therapy! I originally took him there for occupational therapy but, after some assessment, he is also getting some physical therapy. He has made great progress! He can’t wait to go each week. I’m so happy with my decision to call Cardinal Kids!

Cardinal Kids deserves every one of these 5 stars. From the first time I spoke to Natalie she was very straight forward and helpful with my many questions. The evaluation process was very thorough and she helped me to understand every word of the report. My son absolute LOVES his therapist, Miss Stephanie. She is so caring and patient with him. We couldn't ask for a better experience.

My granddaughter was recently diagnosed with ADHD and auditory processing disorder. She required occupational therapy to learn how to recognize when she was having trouble sitting still and following directions. Her initial visits were on line with another company due to the pandemic. Because it was online it did not feel very beneficial and when she didn’t want to participate she would move away from the screen. At the end of her initial treatment visits the company could only fit her in during the school day which was upsetting to me. Why should a child who is already behind be forced to attend therapy during the school day causing her to miss crucial reading and math classes? I called every single OT company on our insurance list and they all said the same. No after school spots for 6-9 months or more out. When I found Cardinal Kids I was astounded by the honesty from the owner and her efforts to work with us in getting Sophie an appointment for after-school. Natalie Bruno researched our insurance coverage to help us get covered for her visits there (we were out of network). Our granddaughter’s therapist was Kaitlyn Durkin and our Sophie absolutely loved her. She also loved being able to go to OT in person rather than online. She said she loved going! Not only was Kaitlin wonderful with Sophie and helped her achieve all her goals, she had Sophie looking forward to going to OT like it was a playtime social activity. Sophie now can identify when she needs to calm down and from what she learned, pick activities that help her calm down, like yoga moves and using a hippity hoppity ball. We are very pleased with The success Kaitlyn has helped Sophie achieve and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of OT for their child. Thank you tremendously!

Cardinal Kids has been our saving grace! I was lost as to how to begin to help my sensory child. After her diagnosis I read all the books and the websites and the articles and the threads in the forums. Information overload! Cardinal Kids gave us the plan, the resources and the encouragement we desperately needed. My daughter’s therapists used zones of regulation for emotional support, metronome activity for motor planning, therapeutic listening for regulation, a variety of activities to reach her proprioceptive and vestibular systems and even some food therapy to help with gustatory avoidance. The changes in my daughter (and how we understand and respond to her) have been life-saving for our family.

Miss Steph is incredibly warm, welcoming, and skilled. My child absolutely loves her and talks about her in between sessions. My daughter has made dramatic progress in OT with Miss Steph that has not only positively impacted her physical and functional issues, but it’s also improved her mental health. She looks forward to going to OT every week, and I feel that Miss Steph is just as fond as my daughter as my daughter is of her. I have recommended her to family and friends who need OT services for their children, and I will continue to do so.

Cardinal Kids Therapy is absolutely amazing! We reached out at a time of what could be described as a "crisis." Natalie was responsive and extremely helpful. Through our great fortune, however, Stephanie was able to perform the OT evaluation and has been working with us for almost 6 months now. Stephanie is knowledgeable, kind, creative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. More importantly, she is so understanding with sensory issues and she has this special way of "thinking outside of the box" to provide OT for your child's specific needs. I would absolutely recommend Cardinal Kids and Stephanie is wonderful!

Ms. Kait has been working with our 5 year old son for about 6 months now. He has a sensory processing disorder and started kindergarten this year which has been a big change for him. Since starting his therapy sessions, we have seen such improvements in the way he manages his transitions from stressful environments or from one activity to the next and in his language skills as well. He absolutely loves going to therapy every week and we love to continue seeing his progress.

My son loves his OT sessions with Ms. Steph. She makes them fun and incorporates his special interest. He went from disliking coloring to asking me to print multiple Taco Bell lady pages so that he could color the same pages at home as at his OT sessions. Ms. Steph also is able to keep his attention the entire session.

Kait is wonderful! She really understands kids with sensory needs, and my four-year-old loves going to OT every week! She makes therapy so fun, he doesn’t even realize he is “working.”

Two years ago my son’s teacher approached me and told me Michael was having fine motor skills problems and was starting to fall behind the class. Michael who used to love school had most recently started coming home unhappy. When we looked at his handwriting and artwork hanging up on the walls compared to the other kids in is class we could see there was a problem. After talking to his pediatrician we decided to have him assessed by an occupational therapist. That was when we were introduced to Cardinal Kids. The staff was kind and understanding and really made sessions fun for Michael. After each session, they explained what they did and what he needed to work on for the next session. Cardinal Kids even periodically checked in with me to see how Michael was progressing. It was one of the best decisions I made for my son and therefore I highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of an Occupational Therapist.

I began occupational therapy with my son when he was 3 1/2 – four years old. (That is when we met Natalie.) My son was young, but very aware of his deficits. He hated going to preschool, cried his little eyes out every time I attempted to take him. (Natalie) was immediately able to help him, and was able to explain to me what was going on with my child. He has sensory processing challenges, coordination difficulties, and hypotonia (muscle weakness), which appeared, mostly in his hands. I would highly recommend (her) to anyone who is even questioning whether or not their child might have a problem.

My 18 month old daughter, Hazel, has made significant progress with Cardinal Kids. Their knowledge of sensory integration and its impact on Hazel’s balance and coordination helped me and my husband understand her needs and incorporate therapeutic activities throughout her daily routines. Thank you, our initial fears turned into a fun, educational, and rewarding experience for the whole family!

The team are gifted and compassionate healers. The Occupational Therapy is quite extensive and impressive, andmany tools and strategies are used to help clients. What I treasure most, above and beyond any other therapists I’ve ever met, is the staff’s kindness, sensitivity, and tender care of children. They have made my 5-year old son (who is diagnosed on the autism spectrum) feel so safe, secure, and confident that he is now willing to take many more risks, as well as accomplish and supersede his established OT goals. I attribute all of this to Cardinal Kids. They are dedicated to their work and have created a warm, enriching, and inspiring atmosphere for children at Cardinal Kids Therapy.

My son has made the most significant gains since Cardinal Kids have been working with him. They’ve been thorough and looks at his OT needs holistically. The home recommendations are doable and they have provided a wealth of valuable information. My son (autism diagnosis) has been in occupational therapy for 7 years and Cardinal Kids is the most welcoming, warm and comforting environment. It’s not like “work” for him and he loves therapy now! I’d recommend Cardinal Kids to anyone seeking an experienced and loving OT who really “gets” our kids.

Cardinal Kids has the best occupational therapists. I never had to force my son to attend the therapies since he never felt it was work even though he was making great strides. They are very warm and knowledgeable, and have always directed me in the right direction due to their experience.

We have experienced many professionals along our journey to help our daughter, and Cardinal Kids exceeds our high standards for being knowledgeable, resourceful, open-minded, communicative, collaborative, flexible, available and engaging. They listens to our concerns, relate as a parents, and apply their vast experience to any presenting challenge. They’ve learned about approaches we use, collaborating with other professionals treating our daughter, and recommend additional professionals specific to our needs. It is rare to find therapists as comprehensively tuned in to each individual child and his/her family. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking not only for occupational therapy, but also for a supportive partnership.

One day, I left a message crying because my daughter had a horrible day at school. Cardinal Kids staff called me at night, on their own time, and talked to me about new ideas for my daughter. In the eight months that my daughter has been going, she has made HUGE progress. Cardinal Kids Therapy also has a very nice waiting room. I bring my younger son with me to all of the sessions. The waiting room always has tons of toys and books in it and keeps my son very busy.

My son did the intensive Interactive Metronome. He has ADD and has some anxiety issues. His gross motor planning also is lagging as well. My son was on 30 mgs of Ritalin a day. First off, my son who doesn’t like to do anything out of the ordinary loved coming to Cardinal Kids. He was so excited about doing Interactive Metronome because it showed him his progress and he loved that he could see himself improving. He went everyday for an hour for fifteen days. He never once whined or complained and we were very happy with the results. First, we saw an increase in attention and concentration. So much so that we dropped his Ritalin dose down to 20 mgs. His anxiety diminished some and I found that he was able to learn novel activities a little bit quicker, such as snow boarding and golf. We really enjoyed the experience and we hope to do it again this summer.
